The Force Has Awoken! The New Star Wars is Here!

tfa_poster_wide_header-1536x864-959818851016We’ve been waiting for a long time for this and it is finally here! The latest movie in the Star Wars franchise premiered last night in Los Angeles with all the stars being present. While no full reviews exist at the moment, a lot of critics who attended the event shared their thoughts on social media, and if their tweets and statuses are anything to go by we are in for a treat. The movie’s been called epic, awesome, great, wonderful and even perfect!

This has to be a huge relief for all the fans of the original series, especially after the infamous Star Wars prequel trilogy with Liam Neeson and Ewan McGregor.

The Force Awakens is the first Star Wars movie realized without the involvement of George Lucas, the original creator of the series. Ironically, the fans of the franchise seem happy that the father of the Star Wars world hasn’t touched this one. Lucas has previously claimed that he didn’t want to be involved at all, because that would only interfere with JJ Abrams’s vision.

Just as a reminder, Lucasfilm was sold to Disney back in 2012 for a whopping 4 billion dollars, which saw Disney become the owners of the Star Wars franchise. Some thought it was an awkward fit, but they hired the director behind the Star Trek reboot, and it seems to have paid off. Abrams decided to continue the story of the original series, and get all the major actors from the original cast involved.

Awkward fit? Seems legit to us.

What makes the fact that this is a sequel so exciting is that we will finally see what happened to Luke, and Solo, and Chewy, where they have been, what they have been doing. The anticipation is killing us! Until the movie is released to the public, check our list of best movies that you can see this winter, some of them are already out!
